Xodus Vault

Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 September 2026

1. What Xodus Vault is

Xodus Vault is a record-keeping tool for savings groups — njangi, tontine, susu, stokvel and capital formation funds. It keeps a shared, transparent record of who contributed what, when, and whose turn it is to receive the pot.

Vault is a ledger. It is not a bank, not a money transfer service, and not a payment processor for your group's savings.

2. Vault never holds your money

Members pay their contributions directly to the person their group already trusts — the treasurer, the group owner or the collection contact. That money never passes through Xodus Vault, and Vault never has access to it.

An admin then records what was received. If a record is wrong, an admin can edit or delete it. Vault is responsible for the accuracy of what is entered into it — not for the money itself, and not for disputes between members.

3. Your account

You need an account to create or join a group. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You may use the same account on more than one device.

Give accurate information. Impersonating someone else, or entering records you know to be false, is grounds for removal from the platform.

4. Groups, owners and admins

The person who creates a group owns it. Only the owner can delete the group or hand out admin roles. Co-admins can record money and manage members, but sensitive actions — clearing a member's records, deleting the group — require either the owner or, where a second admin exists, that admin's agreement.

Joining a group requires approval from an admin. An admin may remove a member. Removing a member does not erase the group's history.

5. Pricing and subscriptions

Groups of nine names or fewer are free. Larger groups need a paid Vault plan. Plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled.

You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no refund is given for the unused part of a month. Changing plan takes effect immediately, with credit applied for what you have already paid.

If a group grows past nine names without a plan, its records stay visible to everyone, but new entries are paused until the group subscribes.

The subscription fee is a platform fee for Xodus Vault. It is never a member's savings contribution, and Vault never charges members for their contributions.

6. Emails we send

When an admin records money received for one of your names, or a payout sent to you, we email you about it in your chosen language. We also send account emails such as sign-in confirmation and password reset.

You can switch off group update emails at any time from your dashboard, or through the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of those emails. Account and billing emails still reach you, because they are part of the service.

7. Ending your account

You can ask us to close your account. Because a profile is tied to real contributions and payouts, we cannot remove an account that still owns a group or has an active membership. Leave or hand over those groups first.

We may suspend an account that abuses the platform, enters knowingly false records, or puts other members at risk.

8. Limits of our responsibility

Vault is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted.

We are not responsible for money that goes missing between members, for a treasurer who does not pay out, or for any agreement your group makes. Those are matters between you and your group. Nothing on this site is legal or financial advice.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as Vault grows. The date at the top always shows the latest version, and continuing to use Vault means you accept it.
